Michael was appointed as the Chaplain to the UK Oil and Gas Industry in October 2023. He was previously a parish minister in Edinburgh for a decade and continues to serve as a reservist Army Chaplain. He holds a Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from the University of Edinburgh and has undertaken training in Mental Health including Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid course, Conversations with Vulnerable Persons, and Counselling Skills training with COSCA. He is BOSIET and MIST qualified to undertake frequent offshore visits.
Michael is honoured to be the Chaplain to the UK Oil and Gas Industry, and to have the opportunity to meet, listen and assist those who he comes in contact with.
Lynne was appointed Chaplaincy Administrator in 2011 after spending several years living overseas with her husband who worked in the Oil and Gas Industry. Lynne considers it is a privilege to work in this organisation and to provide support in any way she can.
